Halon refining method

Current Patent Assignee: RESONAC HOLDINGS CORPORATION - KR2023/8820, 2023, A
Patent Family Members: KR2023/8820 A; TW2022/14341 A; TWI776610 B; WO2022/44613 A1; CN115768738 A; ...

Abstract

There is provided a halon purification method capable of simply, safely, and efficiently removing mixed bromine molecules to obtain high purity halon. The halon purification method is a method for removing bromine molecules from crude halon containing halon and the bromine molecules, and the method includes: a contact step of bringing the crude halon into contact with an absorbing liquid containing an aqueous solution containing metal iodide to obtain a mixed liquid containing the crude halon and the absorbing liquid; and a separation step of separating the halon from the mixed liquid to obtain the halon and the absorbing liquid having absorbed the bromine molecules.

Alkane halide refining method

Abstract

Provided is a method for purifying a haloalkane, whereby a highly pure haloalkane can be obtained by simply, safely and efficiently removing mixed bromine molecules. A method for purifying an alkyl halide, which is a method for removing bromine molecules from a crude alkyl halide containing an alkyl halide and bromine molecules, and which comprises: a contact step for bringing the crude alkyl halide into contact with an absorption liquid comprising an aqueous solution containing a metal iodide to obtain a mixed liquid containing the crude alkyl halide and the absorption liquid; and a separation step for separating the alkyl halide from the mixed solution to obtain an absorption solution in which the bromine molecules have been absorbed and the alkyl halide.

Method for concentrating solids and removing solids from a filter medium

Current Patent Assignee: U.S. Bank (in: U.S. Bancorp); US BANCORP - US11607634, 2023, B2
Patent Family Members: US11607634 B2; US2019/358568 A1

Abstract

Disclosed are methods for concentrating solids and removing solids from a filter medium. The method includes the step of concentrating first particles of a first solid by removing a fluid stream through a filter medium in a filter. At least some of the first particles become blocking particles that block pores of the filter medium. The method also includes the step of inserting second particles of a second solid into the filter. These second particles scrape, vibrate, agglomerate, or a combination thereof along the filter medium, thus dislodging at least a portion of the blocking particles.
